It is time again for the first preparations for contenders in the annual Goliat van Gat Pumpkin Festival \u2013 an initiative of TLU SA.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to remind all our prospective contenders to start their soil preparation and buy their seeds for the 2021 competition,\u201d says Mr Henri Combrink, the organiser. \u201cThe seeds are available at TLU SA\u2019s head office in Silverton as usual, but can also be delivered throughout South Africa.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2021 Goliat van Gat Pumpkin Festival will be hosted in Pretoria again, and more details will follow up to the event in March 2021. All interested persons can visit the festival\u2019s Facebook page for new information.<\/p>\n

The pumpkins are evaluated in the following categories: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Biggest pumpkin \u2013 R15 000;<\/em><\/p>\n

Biggest pumpkin in Gauteng \u2013 R3 000;<\/em><\/p>\n

Second place \u2013 R5 000;<\/em><\/p>\n

Third place \u2013 R3 000;<\/em><\/p>\n

Prettiest pumpkin; <\/em><\/p>\n

Ugliest pumpkin; <\/em><\/p>\n

Junior pumpkin grower under 16 years; <\/em><\/p>\n

Most original pumpkin for decorated pumpkins; <\/em><\/p>\n
