The Quarterly Labour Force Survey by Statistics South Africa shows the potential labour force of South Africa increased by 8 million people in the past thirteen years. However, the number of employed people increased by only 500 000*.<\/p>\n
South Africans can attribute these statistics to the ANC\u2019s ineffective policies about each facet of government.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ANC makes no secret of the fact that they are striving towards socialism,\u201d says Mr Henry Geldenhuys, the president of TLU SA. \u201cIt is part of their strategic NDR document. They use the words affirmative action and black economic empowerment to disguise their plan to make everyone \u2013 except for those in high positions \u2013 equal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Suppose you look at countries that implemented communism and socialism. The main objective is to make all citizens dependent on the state, whether from state employment or unemployment grants. The ANC\u2019s route is evident when you consider our unemployment rate (extended definition) of 44,4%, the recent proposal of yet another grant \u2013 this time for all adults \u2013 and almost R2 trillion spent on state remuneration. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe problem with the ANC\u2019s plan is that socialism and communism never lead to economic prosperity in a country,\u201d says Mr Geldenhuys. \u201cIt is also never sustainable. When everyone in a country is poor, that is not economic progress.\u201d<\/p>\n
TLU SA suggests the following solutions:<\/p>\n
TLU SA will continue to fight to keep farmers and all hardworking and honest South Africans safe and sustainable in our country.<\/p>\n
