TLU SA, specifically the North Region, is proud to announce that Danie Prins will officially become the region’s new manager from 1 June 2023. This follows Drickus Botha’s retirement at the end of February.
“It was not easy to find someone to fill Drickus Botha’s shoes,” says Henk van de Graaf, the North Region Chairman. “Drickus had provided excellent service to not only the North Region but also his involvement with TLU SA’s national committees made a significant difference.”
Danie Prins has 25 years of service in various divisions of the police force. This experience is invaluable, especially regarding rural safety, which remains an ongoing problem. His recent years of experience in the private sector and his passion for agriculture also benefit TLU SA and its members. At various levels in his career, he has proved himself as a good but firm negotiator who can be of great value in liaising with government institutions.
Danie had already made excellent contributions and inputs when delegations from the European Parliament held conversations with TLU SA and could easily engage in discussions and even handle media interviews successfully.
“We look forward to Danie’s future contributions, but at the same time, wish Drickus well with his new phase in life,” says Van de Graaf. “We thank him for his loyal, faithful and valuable service during his time at TLU SA.”
