TLU SA has learned with great sorrow of the passing of veteran journalist Derek Watts.
“Derek Watts was not only a big man in life, but also as a journalist and human being, and his initial retirement and eventual passing are a significant loss to journalism in South Africa,” says Henk van de Graaf, Chairman of TLU SA North. “As a journalist, he always acted objectively and exposed many injustices. The farming community particularly wants to commend him for his fair reporting on farm attacks and other agricultural-related matters.”
TLU SA hopes that Derek’s outstanding journalism and integrity will serve as an example for all journalists who follow in his giant footsteps.
