Bio: Ulrich Joubert
Ulrich Joubert is originally from Ladismith in the Cape Province.
His career took him through government, government corporations and the banking sector. He was the Transnet Group Economist from October 1989 until March 2006
In April 2006 he joined Kruger International as Economist until May 2012. From 2009 he is involved with the Bureau for Economic Research at Stellenbosch University.
Ulrich serves on the board of directors of Noordelike Helpmekaar Studiefonds and he is on the panel of judges for the Sanlam Financial Journalist of the year competition. He was the former chairperson of Johannesburg Afrikaans Chamber of Commerce as well as the economic committee of the Afrikaanse Handels Instituut.
He is a regular commentator on radio and TV and writes articles on a regular basis for the Beeld newspaper.
Ulrich won the Beeld Economist of the year competition 4 times.
