Expropriation Bill open for comments
The public is invited by the Select Committee on Transport, Public Service and Administration, Public Works and Infrastructure to provide comments on the Expropriation Bill (B 23 B-2020). The “B” indicates the amended legislation.
This bill was approved by the National Assembly but was referred back to provincial level where inputs are now welcomed. Written comments must be submitted by 6 March 2023. Requests for oral presentations are also being submitted, and TLU SA’s property committee is already collecting information for this purpose.
Expropriation without compensation is:
- unconstitutional
- disastrous for the economy
- fatal for food security
- stealing every young South African’s future
